Cashier Operation

Starting Shift

Clocking in is an action performed by staff to officially record their attendance at the Point of Sale (POS) before Open Cashier to start shift.

This 'Clock In' function is designed for retailers to efficiently capture and manage staff attendance data, which can be conveniently accessed and consolidated through the cloud-based Business Operating System (cloudBOS).

This ensures accurate and reliable attendance records, facilitating streamlined reporting processes

Attendant Tagging Shift

You may be curious about the presence of staff at the pump area and wonder what are their role as. These individuals are referred to as "Attendants," responsible for assisting customers at the forecourt station. Their shift typically begins either at the POS cashier or the Outdoor Payment Terminal (OPT).

In situations where customers prefer to pay with cash (only) but wish to avoid going to the cashier at the POS, they can seek assistance from these Attendants. The Attendants can authorize the fueling process using their Attendant Tagging Card, providing a convenient alternative payment method directly at the pump.

Sync All Items and Reload All Data

The process involves synchronizing information between CloudBOS and the POS by updating data received from the HUB.

For example, when a retailer or supervisor makes changes such as updating prices, product stations, Speedkey, or managing On Account, it necessitates taking action to synchronize and reload this updated information on the POS cashier system.

This ensures that the POS is up-to-date with the latest changes and adjustments made in the CloudBOS, maintaining consistency and accuracy across the retail operations.

Transaction management

Mastering the Transactions

In this topic, we will explore various transaction management tasks executed by the user RONPOS at Cashier level to ensure the smooth operation of the business.

End cashier operation

Closing Shift

End of Day Process

The End of Day process in RONPOS marks the completion of daily operations and the closure of sales activities at the end of the day. It ensures accuracy in financial records, inventory management, and operational data, providing a clear starting point for the next business day.

This process can be initiated manually or set to occur automatically.

For example, if a retailer chooses to end their business day at 11:30 PM, all cashiers must sign out before triggering the process. This ensures that sales from all shifts (till closures) are accurately recorded in the Till Summary, which appears as a long receipt after the End of Day process.

However, certain stations like Shell may have their own standard business operations where the End of Day process is automatically triggered at 11:59:59 PM. In such cases, cashiers must close their tills before this time to ensure accurate recording of sales data.
